I Can't Lose Weight
If you have tried a number of diets in the past and are still
overweight then I do not have to tell you that those diets do not work.
If they did you would be slim now and would not be looking for the best diet to lose weight . Some
people have tried so many different diets to lose weight that they
can't even remember them all. They were unsuccessful with all of them
because the programs were just a fast weight loss diet
which they could not stay on for the long term. As soon as they ended
the program and returned to their old way of eating they quickly gained

Low calorie diets do not work.
You must starve yourself to lose weight on a low calorie plan. This
is a sheer waste of time because your body can detect any big drop in
the calories you consume daily and will adjust to burning less calories
per day. This is why some overweight people who reduce their diet
to consume only 1000 calories per day may lose very little weight if
any. They may ever so slowly lose a little weight over a quite
long period of time but it is a slow painful process that nobody can
stay with for very long.
Low fat diets do not work.
So many foods in the supermarket are "low fat" or "no fat" these
days. But has this made any difference to the number of fat or even
obese people and kids you see around. Obviously it has not. Everywhere
we go there are overweight people and even worse they have allowed
their kids to become obese also. They stuff down lots of low fat foods
but it makes no difference their weight just stays up there. The low
fat or no fat lifestyle just does not work I'm afraid.
Low carb diets don't work.
Low carbohydrate diets have been almost a craze during the past
decade or so. The Atkins diet is the best known low carb diet plan.
This has become a lifestyle for some people but it does not work for
the long term. You have to severely restrict your consumption of all
foods which contain carbohydrates. In the early stages you will eat
little or no carbohydrates at all. This is extremely difficult for most
people and you almost have to enjoy punishment to stay for very long on
this kind of diet. It will make you feel miserable at best to restrict
your foods so strictly. This is why you can't stay on a low carb diet
for the long run.
